The AHA recommends 30-minutes of moderate activity most days (such as walking), but three 10-minute periods of activity are almost as beneficial to your overall fitness. I just came to check that out! and people with less points than me won a $25 card???
If your ankles are sore, you can still work out using free weights while seated (and weights are cheap, often on sale at Target), do situps and other ab exercises, maybe swim (depends)...you've still got lots of options. Don't let one unhappy body part keep you from your workouts :)
