Care Packages for U.S. Troops

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Our community of military serving in harm's way is always in need of a morale boost. Our care packages and letters from home are one way to remind them that their countrymen care about their sacrifices. These young men and women are putting their lives on the line for their country and are seperated from their families and loved ones for long periods of time. These Care Packages say Thank You from those of us who appreciate the freedoms they protect.

How will this project solve this problem?

Christmas in July brings unexpected joy, games, letters from home, phone cards, healthy snacks, DVDs and needed hygiene items to help boost the morale of our troops serving in harms way.

Potential Long Term Impact

Our soldiers may not remember the name or face of a person who treated them kindly, but they will never forget the feeling of knowing that someone in their country cares about them. We have had returning soldiers visit us to personally say thank youI
